Frequently Asked Questions
Does this tool upload my images to a server?
No. All image processing is done entirely in your browser using the HTML5 Canvas API. Your images stay on your device at all times and are never sent to any server.
How does the foreground/background selection work?
You manually paint over the areas you want to keep sharp (the foreground). Everything you leave unpainted is treated as background and gets the blur effect applied. A red overlay shows you which areas are marked as foreground.
Can I adjust the blur strength after painting?
Yes. The blur intensity slider can be changed at any time. Simply adjust it and click "Show Preview" again to see the updated result with your new blur level.
What format is the downloaded image?
The result is exported as a PNG file to preserve quality and transparency. PNG is lossless, so the blurred output matches exactly what you see in the preview.
Is there a maximum image size?
The tool can handle any image your browser can load. Very large images (over 50MP) may be slow depending on your device's processing power and memory.
